Caution: I posted ALOT of pictures of this beautiful couple! I couldn't help myself. I tried pairing down to my favorite 10 photos of the two of them, and I just couldn't do it. So hopefully you enjoy all of them as much as I do:)
Ok, this wedding was seriously one for the books! Very non traditional in so many ways and I LOVED it! Here are some bullet points that highlight this special day:
Breakfast on the wedding day included all the family and friends who stayed on the Guemes Island Resort, including the bride and the groom. Kris took a canoe ride with his best man while Sarah got ready (and wore her mom's stunning wedding dress!). Their first look was so precious and while we were walking on the beach taking photos, they started to sing to each other! (They are both in a band called Mama Doll). A photographers dream. Ceremony was special and personal because Kris's dad officiated them, and it ended in one big "spiral hug" (as shown in the photos). The island's local food truck DIGS kitchen served pizza for dinner, and everyone drank Spokane local beer and wine. And to top it all off, there was a bonfire, dancing, and lawn games to fill the night.
Oh, and did I mention there was a concert the night before during the rehearsal dinner? Mama Doll didn't play (even though I was hoping they would!), but their close friends and siblings did... Marshall McClean band, Kaylee Cole, and Kris' sisters sang together while his mom played guitar. Both families are VERY musically gifted. Pictures of the concert are at the end of the wedding photos.
I still can't believe I was the one lucky enough to capture those amazing 2 days for Kris and Sarah. Such a blessing:)
